Using funding from an American Planning Association grant, the F.R.E.S.H. Project has:

  • Built a coalition of over two dozen people representing native nations, county government, community groups, churches, farmers and interested individuals;

  • Conducted a survey of more than 750 households and held six focus group listening sessions in Shawano County to better understand the challenges of having access to good food;

  • Created a series of recommendations that will make a positive impact on food security for all our area’s residents.
